Igniting Stories, Illuminating Truths

Blue Flame Publications was born from the spirit of entrepreneurship and resilience, inspired by my grandmother’s soul food restaurant—a place where community, culture, and storytelling thrived. Just as the blue flame burns the hottest, we are dedicated to amplifying Black stories with the same intensity, passion, and purpose.

At Blue Flame Publications, we believe that storytelling is a form of liberation. Our mission is to honor the richness of Black narratives, past and present, by publishing works that center our voices, histories, and imaginations. Whether through poetry, fiction, memoir, or cultural commentary, we are committed to sharing the truths that shape our experiences and fuel our futures.

The name pays homage to my grandmother’s restaurant—a place where warmth, nourishment, and ambition came together. Just as the blue part of the flame burns hottest, we believe in fueling stories that burn bright with truth, passion, and resilience.

A Yellow Ribbon in the Sky for Ronald is a beautifully illustrated children’s story about love, childhood cancer, grief, remembrance, and hope. Created with Black characters at its center, the book offers children, families, educators, and communities a gentle way to begin meaningful conversations about illness, loss, and the people we carry with us.

The Black Healing Project Workbook is an interactive resource for reflection, healing, and personal growth. Rooted in Black experiences and resilience, the workbook invites readers to explore healing with intention while making space for rest, joy, reflection, and possibility.

Blue Flame Publications is growing. We look forward to expanding our catalog with books and resources that reflect our commitment to powerful storytelling, thoughtful representation, education, healing, and community.

We anticipate opening for submissions in SPRING 2027.
